PIF (The Space Builder Space Project – rebranded in mid‑2025 to TASAMA)

A Public Investment Fund (PIF)–owned company providing business enablement, shared services, property & workplace solutions, and enterprise support across the Kingdom—including Riyadh-based developments
C1 delivered a full interior design, fitout, and furniture turnkey project for PIF premium business incubator. The scope included concept design, space planning, material selection, lighting, and branded interior elements—tailored to meet evolving operational and business requirements. The design was continuously refined to align with the incubator’s strategic goals and successfully attracted the target startup ecosystem. Execution included Arch & complete MEP and installation of high end furniture, all delivered to international standards.
The interior design language of the project was inspired by the concept of “flow”—a guiding principle that shaped both layout and user experience. From the reception area to enclosed meeting rooms and open workspaces, the circulation was designed to be intuitive, fluid, and interconnected. This seamless spatial journey supports dynamic movement, easy access, and natural transitions between zones—fostering collaboration, productivity, and comfort across all user types.
The entire design process was developed in close coordination with KAFD’s stringent standards and approval framework. This involved structured design submissions, compliance with architectural and sustainability criteria, and ongoing collaboration with the KAFD Design Management team. Adhering to this process ensured the project met the district’s aesthetic vision, operational benchmarks, and performance goals—while maintaining design integrity and innovation.
To meet the demands of a high-end, future-forward business incubator, the project utilized top-tier international workplace systems. Specifications included advanced glazing partitions, modular ceiling systems, acoustic wall and ceiling treatments, and a curated mix of soft and hard flooring finishes suited to both collaborative zones and focused work areas. Every element was selected for durability, user comfort, and a contemporary professional aesthetic.
While the overall look and feel reflect international design sensibilities, the space is deeply rooted in Saudi cultural expression. Carefully selected Saudi artworks and handcrafted artifacts—developed in collaboration with local Saudi artists—were integrated throughout the interiors. These elements bring warmth, authenticity, and a unique local narrative to the space, complementing its global workplace quality with a distinctly regional touch.
The fit-out was executed in close coordination with multiple project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery. Although this was our first project within KAFD, we successfully adapted to their comprehensive fit-out guidelines, approval processes, and procedural requirements. Through proactive collaboration with the KAFD Project Management team, we achieved all necessary approvals and obtained the required occupancy certificates without delays.
Key stakeholders involved in the fitout process included Jasara (the project management company), STC Solutions (IT infrastructure provider), and various AV & security systems consultants. Effective coordination across these teams enabled us to deliver a fully integrated, high-performance workspace that meets international standards and supports the operational goals of the incubator.
The furniture selection process was highly collaborative, involving a series of workshops and alignment sessions between our furniture specialists and the PIF project team. Together, we curated a tailored package sourced from top international workplace furniture brands, ensuring each piece met the functional, aesthetic, and technological requirements of the space.
The final selection included a comprehensive range of solutions: executive furniture for leadership offices, modular systems for project rooms, collaborative furniture for open areas, hotdesks, meeting pods, tiered seating, meeting tables and chairs, operational desks, dining and work-lounge furniture, and outdoor furniture—all fully integrated with the required power, data, and AV infrastructure to support
The new business incubator space reflects a seamless fusion of design vision and functional performance. Through a thoughtful, collaborative approach, we created an environment that supports innovation, adaptability, and growth—while aligning with international workplace standards and local cultural identity. This space is more than just an office; it’s a platform designed to attract, inspire, and empower the next generation of startups and entrepreneurs.
